The program boasts the filming of two episodes of the award-winning podcast “The Almanac of Rap,” hosted by acclaimed rapper, producer, and cultural commentator, Donwill. The podcast sessions include an interview with world-renowned music producer and songwriter, Derrick Milano — and another conversation with acclaimed photographer and film director, Danny Hastings.

There will also be a never before seen art exhibit featuring the work of Danny Hastings. He has been at the pinnacle of his art for several decades, stamping his indelible mark on music culture by capturing iconic images of rap’s biggest names: Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, Cypress Hill, A Tribe Called Quest, KRS-One, just to name a few.

This conversation explores the exceptional accomplishments of global Black visionaries. Panelists will discuss BET’s commitment to showcasing Black culture as the force that drives creative expression worldwide, spotlighting the authentic stories and diverse influences that resonate globally.

The evening will culminate with an exclusive Okayplayer Supper Club: an intimate culinary arts experience featuring a mix of Black thought leaders and trendsetters in business, music, fashion, and the visual arts. Bringing together BET executives and a diverse mix of influential tastemakers, this dinner* will highlight how Black creatives have become curators and champions of the ongoing fearless cultural evolution. Last but not least, the evening ends with an OkayAfrica cocktail party featuring music from the diaspora leaving attendees at the house connected to home.
